Description

another Star Trek image. There is one thing that bugs me though, this class of starship, even though it's designed to decend into an atmosphere, it cannot land. Rendered in AutoCAD, and a photograph of a sunset I took a few months ago.

Try gaussian blurring the sky slightly to get rid of the noise. Other than that, its got nice scope and colors. I think it would look cool with a slight DOF effect on the foreground as well.

The oupost may use anti0grav units to suspend gravity in the dock, so Springer doesnt need landing ability. With the way yo did the sun though Springers shields should be up :)

Beautiful sunset - excellent capture. :-). I suppose anti-grave is one possability - as could be a properly designed cradle to hold the dish & nacelles. IMHO - My perception of starfleet ships are that they are capitol ships, such as modern day battleships & heavy cruisers. I would expect a capitol ship to put landing craft ashore and stand off to protect & support the disembarked crew; particularly so at outpost locations.
