Description

Classified as 'Horror' because of the subject matter. This is one of the most emotional places I have ever visited. There has been nothing added or taken away in this shot - to do so would be to dishonour the men, women and families of those it represents. When you look at this image THINK!

I visited this place twice in my youth. I don't think I was old enough to understand the signifigance. Horrible indeed...so many tragedies. It is overwhelming. Awesome photography... -Peace :-)

For those of you who wish to visit DC and see the sights, you need to do the WALL Last - if you understand it, it will drain you and you won't be up for anything else after that (I've heard the same thing about the Holocaust Museum - one of my next trips to DC). This image is as wonderful as it is somber. You must have shot it shortly after they cleaned the area (I think they do it weekly) Usually there are objects left by visitors/family that line the bottom of the wall. It was those objects and letters that really made me connect to the signifigance of this sacrifice. Very well done image of a sad and powerful memorial. Blessings to all...

Ah kaybee welcome to my stomping ground, now that is an image I recognise! Just love this one, it is IMO one of your best, it is indeed thought provoking and powerful. Excellent photography and great use of DOF. Hope you like Rosity. I am sure you will.
