Description

The waters have come and receded on Rids River 6 terrain (thanks Steve!) Out of utter lifelessness has sprung shades of green, clinging to the sides of the river gorge giving a distinct contrast to the rock and soil colors. This was an exercise in textures, overlays for the river bed, and countless trials (for hours!) to make the water just right. Hope you find this to be a decent and do appreciate you stopping by and viewing as well as commenting. Merci de visionner et commenter !

The terrain is by DivineRaIN, I just host it but that's beside the point, what I see before me is one of the best river renders I've seen from Terragen yet, the water and surfaces are absolutely fantastic :-)

I reflect Steve's and Jay's comments; looking at each element, one can see the amount of effort that has gone into this creation. The surface work is highly detailed. I especially like the overlay work along the shoreline ...no simple task. The layers of color and textures over the base surface are very natural and enhance the entire image. Paul, this is one of your best works.

Paul, I reflect Bob's comments, which I hope does not somehow cancel out Steve's and Jay's comments by some wierd phase cancellation of comments. Just kidding. This is a masterpiece of surfaces. The effort paid off wonderfully and does not look like you were trying too hard - it is all very natural and beautifully illuminated. VOTE
