I am so blown away with the images I see everyday on Renderosity I wanted to join in the creative energy. Thanks to everyone who submits his or her artwork, it has been my inspiration for me to start shooting pictures again. See my bio for more... soon to come.

I just a dark room in the '70 and had fun there but the acid on my hands and face burns some so I had to eash with water. Wonder how I got burns on my face I just put it on my face and put the paper there then prossed it to see what happens. You do dumb things when you are young.

Oh Jim... regarding the question you were asking...... I do believe that it ENHANCES and goes way beyond.

had to make every shot count!! think you have better control with film & a SLR... where as i don't have a DSLR but midrange digi... we've been having discussions in the forum about the benefits of shooting in raw mode (not in the raw, lol) & that cuts down on the number you can take, creating much larger files too... digi is still new to me but has spoiled me completely too... do luv to play in the digital darkroom... would be nice to have a real darkroom though with unlimited funds! lol... so this is pop art cool, i do like the color but honestly wouldn't buy it, no offense :]

Surely the result matters moe than the tool. Photography has seen a continuous series of technical improvements from the beginning. I recently read an article about the 'first photographer' Nichore Nice (1765-1833), he needed exposures of several DAYS. Would you like to go back to that?

I think this is a wicked image! I love those lights and love the abstracts, have you considered buying different colored bulbs? I don't think digital detracts from the art but rather enhances it! I have control over what I shoot with a DSLR and use the viewfinder each time I shoot, no shotgunning here. Your poor filing habits are going to come back and bite you in the butt. Start by making some folders under "My Documents" Scenic, Landscape, Macro and Abstract you get the idea, Go into My Computer, click on each image and decide where they go, then burn them to disc. You should burn the originals to disc after you offload them before you postwork them, use those CDr s so you keep burning until the disc is full. I actually had to make it a point to sit down and do this because, like you I was losing track of my images. I then delete them off of my hard drive so I have more space! If you have a DVD burner that is even better! Make sure the disc works before deleting though! I keep the smaller postworked images in a file on my computer for posting! Hope that helps ya some! Best of luck to ya! :)
