Description

Apo 2.02 only I don't know if you guys are familiar with Horse Chestnut trees (if not they have big leaves that look like hands) in the Autumn they product nuts which are covered with a prickly outside cover which eventually breaks and inside is the chestnut (inedible for humans) - I think this pic remsembles the stage when the chestnut case splits to reveal the nut. When we were kids we used to bake these nuts after soaking them in venegar, thread a string thru them and then have a competition to see whose was the strongest by hitting them one against the other - the nuts are then called "conkers". OK now you all think I'm bonkers!!

wonderful image - i always loved collecting the chestnuts in the case because they were so shiny when ultra fresh - i like your image of the case opening - those are the colours - sort of green and sort of white and sharp points
