Description
This is me mucking about with my new Canon 17-40L a few weeks ago. This is a shot down one of the avenues at Elvaston Castle Country Park, with one of the giant redwoods in the foreground. Not sure how many of these trees there are in England? Not very many. There are plenty here & they are majestic, beautiful, and bl**dy enormous.
I remember going here when I was a kid, I could punch the soft bark on the redwoods as hard as I liked & it would NOT hurt.
Being male (& therefore a bit stupid) I tried it again age 36.... Happy to report it still didn't hurt. 3 weeks later the bruise has almost gone!!!! Haha!!

Excellent perspective. The composition is risky but it turned out just fine. The details and light on the tree keeps me there for a while but after I get into the shadows and end in full swing on that tiny red shirt. Very well done.
