Description

Fractal Explorer 2 My first try to use the formule compiler. One image was loaded as darkening texture. Does anyone see the colour depth between red and blue or is it just my imagination.? Thanks for viewing.

Cool fractal mosaic! Yes, I see the neat 3d optical effect between the red and blue, too. I've seen it happen a few times before and used to think it was caused by an interaction of merge modes but lately I'm thinking that it is because of those particular shades of red and blue - just like 3d is done and looks without the glasses. Except that here you can see it without them because of the colors. Just guessing - nice work!

I think the color depth is just an optical issue. The red, being generally brighter, looks as if it is closer, while the darker blue looks as if it is deeper back...this is an interesting study in that idea, though.

Super abstract, with very nice colors, shapes and patterns. I agree with sharkrey about the opitcal illusion created by the use of the red/blue colors. I recently created a background where this effect is very pronounced. It almost makes me dizzy to look at it. At any rate, you did a wonderful job with you image.
