Today two giant cranes for Oaklands harbor arrived. They had to wait for low tide and low waves to fit underneath the golden gate bridge and the bay bridge. This image depects the drama. The coast guard chopper is watching the clearance (under the bay bridge the clearance was only 5 inch).
The vessel was lowered by taking on water so that the giant cranes would fit.

Love the way you managed to capture the cranes having been passed under the bridge and now are heading towads the Port of Oakland. I think the positioning of the red US Coast Guard helicopter, including the news channel 7 news helicoopter in the distance. Great reportage. V
