amazing image, how the lower layer peeks through the top one at the right places.. I love it..

this looks to me like a full milkweed pod - these are the plants that Monarch caterpillars eat, and the pod is full of seeds that have marvelously delicate "feathers" white and downy that help the seeds float through the air - this reminds me of the pod when it opens and the seeds emerge with their fairy wings
