That is just a rock....but OH MY GOD HOW GORGEOUS IT ALL LOOKS!!! It has it all: A river, snow, green grass, mossy rock and weathered trees. This is one super-compo in my book. Well done!!!!!!! Have a marveleous week down there in the south of Germany! #:o)

Well seen, excellent composition/framing. Good color. Feels wonderfully connected and earthy. Questions: 1. No detail in white snow - washed out? 2. No pure blacks? Image could be a bit "crisper" with some pure blacks to "set the visual expectation/calibrate the brain". Sweet work!

Beautiful composition. You have captured a wonderful contrast between moss/lichen with snow; the bright and shadowed sides of the stone ... but also think of how the age of that pockmarked rock speaks to us. In this image you have so many contrasting themes: life (grass, moss , ... ); movement (river, snow=weather); change of seasons; light/shadow; age; stability; stasis. MGD

same general comments as jc. there is a lovely capture here that just needs a little technical work to give it more strength. because there is so much wonderful detail in the rock and trees and grass, the large expanse of overexposed white in the foreground weakens the image. by "burning in" that area to give it texture, and (I'm not sure why it is sorta pink or magenta) chilling it down with a little blue (skylight in shadow)you can contrast the fragile, temporary solidity of the snow, with the enduring permanence of the rock

Herrlicher Findling. Der bunte Bewuchs von Moosen und Flechten macht ihn zu einem richtigen Kunstwerk. Sehr sches Licht, er leuchtet einem regelrecht entgegen. Das Wasser unten ist sicherlich der Neckar
