I became interested in digital art during a time when I was stuck at home after surgery. A friend introduced me to Ultrafactal and then I discovered Apophyis. I must admit I don't tend to create the same type of pictures most of the other Apo users make i.e. not typical flames - but as the saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
I am a female living in Kent - know as "The Garden of England"

Bold, yet soft and elegant, Judi - a terific capture of the subject in its nighttime underwater feeding stage. You've imparted a real sense of depth and gentle movement through your excellent lightplay! Excellent and very appealing.

OK, I am pitiful..I saw the title and thought of Spongebob Squarepants...can you tell I have kids! As for the image (which is the real reason I'm here), the texture is superb as is the lighting! Very bright and airy and I like it! =)

That's funny, smitts. I agree with argiebooze with respect to the gradient. Very subtle...nice little gold tips. Not sure if I would put this into an aquatic theme. I can a l m o s t see barnacles because of the center of the spirals, but not quite...just me, though.
