i think what he meant, was that there is no way to actually see that the "city" is far away from the planet, since its just a city it should be way way away from the planet in order to be that big, or just the camera getting closer, this aint anything you gotta do in your scene, you just gotta make sure that there is a hidden sence of distance in the picture, i cant tell you exactly how to do it but if you look at the picture now i'm sure you can see how the city appears abnormally big, even tough its supposed to be far away from the planet =)

My advace: Have the picture framed larger (like double the render size) Have the city near the lower center of the screen, takeing up about 1/2-3/4 of the width Angle the camera upwards slightly and have earth in the background as you have here. Adjust the doom texture, if needed, so you can see its transparent while giving a very clear view of the earth though it. The slight upwards angle and will let you see the city, while makeing the earth look massive in the background. If you wish to have the shuttle in it, reframe so thats touching the right edge, with the city on the left...but still have them both at the bottom and the camera pointing up slightly to earth. You could also make the earth very slightly out of focus, use DOF render, or just a slight blur-brush in post. Anyway good start! Id like to see this concept expanded.
