Description

Stob Binnen and Ben More near Crianlarich. From Stob Fear Tomhais near Balquidder in the south. Saturday was the worst winds I can remember for years. Its just what photography can't convey, the roaring, the near blindness and the buffeting you get trying to resist being blown clean off the ridge. Drop something in these conditions and its gone. Still it must be good for your skin....like a right good sandblasting!

'Bracing' photo, Anthony. I went out shooting targets on a farmer's land, up on a ridge, some 20 years ago, and the wind was so strong, that I got under cover of some boulders, for over an hour, so I know, to a certain extent, what you encountered. The trouble was that I was not dressed for that much 'fresh air'. Regards, John.

Life in the highlands is not easy, but the people are tough enough to survive it. Beautiful vista, love it!
