Description
We lost one of the great men of journalism last month, this is my tribute to him, as I like to remember him. Would have been finished earlier, but moving house last week slowed things down.

An excellent tribute...he formed much of my journalistic perspective in a younger day. "Damned Bats," he said waving his hand at the intruders. Doc was the alter ego of a lot of us in the profession. The Dr. Jeckel that some of us knew and loathed...but never admitted to as we lapped up the sweet milk of working in the established media machine which we also loathed but smiled at none the less for it made us respectable in the eyes of many. Remember Doc..."we're your friends, we're not like the others...damned bats!!!" Vote -jay
