Description

Another XD plant. My poor sister was giving me artistic direction in the background but I've totally ignored her advice in the end (she preferred a plain black background and a less intense brightness). Hope you like the choices I made anyway :) I have to confess, it took all day before I found a flower head that looked the right kind of thistle! I WILL get more used to which metamorph does what soon ;) Kathy

I think the "leaves" look thistle-like especially the green/blue/grey (the black background works v well), but personally I think the flower head is more like a Meconopsis (a type of blue poppy) one the other hand I think this is a great image and considering I have no knowledge of XD - I don't know what I'm talking about !!! Well done Kathy

Splendid thistle, and the background works really well with it. Isn't Xeno a kick in the pants? So much to learn and explore. I am so enjoying your explorations!

Didn't know that you could do images like this in fractals. I love that this looks like a flower, excellent :) Also think the background color works perfectly for the simple lines of the image. Well done Kathy!

Kathye, this is excellent, and the background you chose makes the plant stand out. What a wonderful XD image. The color and lighting you chose is lovely. V

Like the flower and the leaves that look kind of bony. Even when you can remember most of the metamorphs, figuring which one to use can be tricky.

Wonderful how the leaves are bending in the wind! Looking for the "right" metamorphs is, I think, the most work in XD :-) !

Perfect descriptive name. What a wonderful grouping these would make -- add to a scene.

Yes, I thought the stalks and leaves looked "boney" but looking again I see Sea Holly, just the right colours and shape. Whatever and however we see this image differently I have to congratulate you on a super piece of Art simply and beautifully presented.
