Description
Experimenting with P5 toon/anime shaders, inspired by rjbourc's efforts. Thanks to rjbourc, ernyoka1, compiler, ajax, sixus1, and all of the many people whose efforts have contributed so much to my 3D education!
I'm trying to develop something that gives me less of a Frank Miller "Sin City" feel, and something more like Paul Gulacy, Al Williamson, Gene Day or Wally Wood. Yeesh I'm really showing my age now...
Oh, that's Veronica Year 3 clothes for V3 from Uzilite (wusamah) available at Daz, and DM Time Prisoners 2 from marforno, Danie and Abraham available here in the marketplace.

Very nice 2D effect on a 3D image! It does have that "Sin City" feel at the moment!

Not too much to tell in the way of tutorials. I built my scene, then used the python script available at Netherwork's website to reset all of the material settings. Then I built a toon shader based on rjbourc's mini-tut at the Sixus1 forums (http://www.poserforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=2460). From there I changed the "spread" setting on the Toon node to .03. I applied this shader to all my figures and props. I set up the light while viewing the scene in "Cartoon with Lines mode to get an idea of how the shadows would work. It's a simple, white infinite light set to 100% intensity, with raytracing for the shadows, a Shadow value of "1", and the Shadow map set to 1024. Then it's just rendering it with the Poser 5 Firefly engine, making sure that Raytracing and cast shadows are on, and smooth polygons is off. Thanks for looking all, and the kind words!
