Description
Captain Tutri's Space Log:
Date: Unknown
"This may be my last log entry. Upon reaching this quadrant of space the ship's crew and I immediately noticed peculiar phenomena. Paradoxically our clocks and watches stopped, however the ship's computer continues to function. Our circadian rhythms have become unbalanced. Many crew members are unable to sleep.
The ship's engineer reported that we were being 'drawn' towards a region of space contrary to the course that was set. She found no way to reverse the effect. The entire crew is on alert.
Our speed accelerated exponentially as we neared the anomaly. I have no point of reference to accurately name what we saw.
Concentric blue rings, earth-sky blue. What appear to be currents, eddying and flowing around and into this portal. Space dust, pinpoints of light that perhaps may be distant galaxies. An orange and yellow mass with a blue center and possibly a sun outside the orange mass. In the distance what appears to be a purple portal, similar to the blue one we are approaching at great velocity...
Captain's Space Log: (Additional)
A gateway! The first of many it seems. Having passed through the first gateway we are confronted by a somewhat different view than before entering Gateway 1. For the benefit of future space travellers I have archived an image of 'Gateway 1' before we entered it, and an image of 'Gateway 1 The Far Side'. You will note a great difference between the images.
We are journeying onward. Indeed if the gravitational pull of the next gateway is the same as gateway 1, we have little choice.
As explorers in a seemingly boundless universe, we await the discoveries before us.

I hope everyone will enjoy this image and my attempt at Sci-Fi writing! Tutri and I have exchanged some parameters to play around with and add our own distinct style to.
Petri,
I hope you don't mind being the main character in my little story. It seemed somehow fitting since this is your 'gateway' that you should have the honor of being captain!

Thank you very much for the honor Leanndra! I'm very happy and proud to command this ship on it's dangerous journeys through the unknown! :D You've done a terrific job with my original, you've added tons of energy and motion to it, and the story couldn't possibly fit the image better! Awesome work, both the image and the text!! Thank you!

I must say that was a nice piece of sci fi!! Concise and well written! The main points were clear; they're screwed! The gateway is awesome! Alive with energy and purpose. Perhaps in their sojourn, they'll arrive someplace special and not just go bouncing through the galaxy aimlessly. BRAVO!

Since a child, I always enjoyed sci-fi. We have witnessed how much of today's knowledge, was anticipated, specially by literature. Your work, makes me travel to the limits of the unknown, once again. Image and text are superb, hope to see more!!. Congratulations Leanndra and Tutri, and full support to these kind of efforts!!V

Cool...has a very galactic feel to it. But tell the truth...did you have to look up the spelling on "exponentially"? (jus' messin' wid ya)
