Description

As I continue my battle, trust me it's a battle, to learn this amazing program, I found myself in need of backgrounds for a fractal program I am ..well, learning. So, here I am begging for your crits, so that I can be sure I am either on track...or really need to have the book out each time I work in Bryce *smile* This is a "what would" piece. Would the sky take on a look like this if the forest were ablaze below? (okay, omitting the purple, I just liked it..:) 8 layers, 6 ground terrains mapped with clouds and worked to death, two cloud volumn's worked to death, and one sky preset, darkened some. Thanks for your help/suggestions/comments (=

Well....this could be either a stormy sky (my first thought) or what you are looking for. It is very smoky looking. Actually, I think it's a great sky and would use it in a Bryce scene if you had it saved in a sky preset.

This is quite wonderful...and I know from experience a darn lot of work. I think you've done amarvelous job...very smoky effect going on here...only suggestion I might make is perhaps some kind of a lighting effect in a different program to give it more of a redish "glow". A forest fire would generate a great deal of heat and light. Fantastical Bryce sky, however. I'm truly impressed.

i like your clouds, but if the forest would be ablaze, i think it need more reds at the bottom, because it would be likely to reflect , i think. in the way you see sky in late sunset and although you dont see the sun anymore, the sky still colors very red, that, but with a different red. have a nice weekend, denise.

Dinese ,the thing with skies is that they can be seen in the most incredible colors and cloud formations ,so there realy is no right or wrong with skies . This one looks like a very dramatic sky .My advice is , use whatever you like in your works ,and dont think about if others will like it or not .You are the creator and if it pleases you then it`s good .
