I've seen this before somewhere - I keep thinking it's by Micheal Whelan and that it's cover art to a book. Is that right? I'm assuming you did this as some sort of tribute to that. I even think I've seen it here at Renderosity before. Please forgive me if I am wrong. Anyway, you did a good job with it. Well done!!!

When I saw the thumb, I thought that the image looked familiar. I remember it being by Rowena Morrill and the cover of a book called Nightwalk by Bob Shaw - hero had been blinded but with a device was able to see through the eyes of other people and animals. Great tribute!
