In the same context the IND (Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service) has literally said to me that I was DUMB to fall in LOVE with a foreign woman...

This is sad but does ring out some truth!!!! What kind of god would allow such suffering seen in our world today? Love, well love can be said to be a great part of the suffering felt by everyone in this grand existence. There is some truth to what you say!!! Even if most people do not want to hear it or for that matter see it. As far as "a crappy way of thinking about the 2 things that hold us together." If those are the only 2 things holding us together then we are doomed.

Both God and Love are a 'self'... They only mean things to the individual who has 'found' them... Or who 'has' them... And if these are the two things that hold us together... Try to tell that to 'any' average government... Good luck...

A brave man dies but once... A coward dies a thousand times before his end. An old proverb that rings true. And frankly Richard, your government isn't much brighter than mine (the US). Hmmm maybe armed revolt is in order? You for your wife, and me for the decimation, degradation, and continued suppression of my people(Native Americans). We could meet in the middle some where and have a few beers :)
