Description

'Kathmandu' Come the Fall, When the leaves are turning brown, I hear your call Echoing all around, In the misty rain, In your mountain range, Kathmandu. Spread my wings And fly into your sun, Bells that ring In your corners always rung, As I walk your streets To rest my tired feet, Kathmandu. To see you smile softly as you turn, So quickly shy, Yet you look with eyes that burn Into my heart, Why must I depart, Kathmandu? And the winter rain Falls gently on my face, And soothes my pain In cold and windy space, On red brick streets To rest my tired feet, kathmandu. Yet fare thee well, For I must take your leave; I cannot dwell, I have promises to keep, But this I promise you, I will remember you, Kathmandu.

It has a very old style to it, and yet a very contemporary feeling. I love it. I especially like the way the word "Kathmandu" echoes. I could easily put this into audio.

I loved this too as I too heard the rhythms experimental speaks of To me it gave me the feeling of an opening to a grand novel that would tell in depth and detail the life and times of the writer of the poem of "Kathmandu"
