Back to POV-ray with a third recursion post.
The placement of the figures are based on the Sierpinski triangle, with one extra object added for each iteration making it a Sierpinski square. :)
There are 87,380 figures in this scene (may be a few less), I have yet to come up with a way to count them. Keeping in mind that the last iteration isn't visible due to rendersize, only about 21,000 can be seen.
