Description

... Shaeya got problems with her BlasterClass, the turbos working only up to 67% of maximum and there are just two days to the race. Fyrona offers Shaeya her ship, also a BlasterClass but the newest model with all technical extras you can buy for money. So Shaeya decided to make a testflight to know how the ship feels and running. As she started she thought: in a few minutes I show you little bastard why they call me MANIAC... Infos about the work: textures done with PhotoShop and the rest is pure C4D. ahhh, sorry for that poor english... I hope ya like the image and thanX for viewing all comments are welcome. ~{o;)

Ahhh, by the way, does anyone of you knows how to realize in C4D a motionblur on the turbins and the background ??? How to make a blured background I know, but together with rotating turbins I don`t know. I tryed everything, but it all looks wrong...

I like the general design of the model, but I'm not sure I like the secondary color map(?) with the smaller panels. One would think that a vehicle of that size would be made of larger riveted pieces (like they are in the model) and those panels would be made of a single homogenous material.

Hi Tom, with this texture I wanna realize an effect like galvanized zinc (I hope thats right in english), I`m not 100% happy with the texture but after one hour of experimenting I thought thats O.K. for the image. ThanX for the comment and your point of view, this helps to make my work better. ~{o;)

Fantastic. I think the texture with the small panels look great & gives the ship character. As always a great piece of work by you.

Looking real good..Its eaiser to make the turbine solid and then add a swirl texture to the front of it..But you have all that work in it, I would try maybe a little fog around it with a small amout of blur. One other thing I see is the panels on the side. They run off the side in a angle (angle to edge) which would be impossible to make. I think if the seams would follow the edge it would make it look alot better. I know, easier said then done. Nice modeling it really looks good.

Hey Guido, this is great work all round. I like the colors. One way to do the motion blur on the turbofans is to make a copy of the fans. Put a texture on it that has a high degree of transparency and then rotate the second set of fan blades slightly. Then in post work you blur the edges of the fans that are on the same side as the partially transparent blades. That might give you the look youre wanting. -Ray-

Marvin, thanX for the great tip, I will try out on my next work. I realy done everything to get a cool motionblur but I would never have come to this idea. ThanX a lot! ~{o;)
