A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

I like the concept of what it is your trying to achieve. As for myself, I would employ more depth by darkening the colours so they do not appear as being washed out by extreme sunlight. The layers of the background might also be expanded a little as they add a great amount of interest to me. I will ballance this review by mentioning that it is imortant to try something new as this allows us to grow as an artist. So you try it again in a couple of days and you might surprise yourself, because you have something here that is worth a re-visit.

"Ruuuuuust, get your rust here! Two for one sale!" ;] Hey, I'm touch that my wounded series inspired you to go a hunting for your own "wounded" image. I honestly had no idea it would have such an impact. ;) I really like the photo you have here that old double dead bolt (good name) has seen a lot of use and abuse. I have to agree with Egmont though that it could you a little postwork to really make it POP and give it more impact. It is a bit on the light side right now. I appreciate your border theme too, but for me it draws my attention away from the central image...where it should be focused. Kudos to you for trying something new. :)

A great artist (Kort = TwoPynts) was interested in this picture (see the comment above) and showed me how to improve it... Take a look in the Forum : http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=2178674
