Description

Long time since I've posted here. It feels good. This is my Earthenwear SeaVue pak going through some final testing to make sure it's ship shape for Vuers. 3 wavemapped terrains flat out with a SeaVue Breaker mat applied, 1 Seamist object and 2 alpha foam objects. And of course, the Sea Traveler, a fine model ship. This mat and object kit can get one pretty close to a 'no post' situation. But a good 3d seascape always needs a little adjustment. Here, I adjusted a line or two where the terrain, mist and alpha foam meet and a touch of Painter's Confusion brush on the alpha's lower end. Presto! Motion in your ocean... Thanks for lookin' Monsoon

Hey, looks good. I never have really liked the design of the ships, to me the original creator of the model didn't create an accurate/realistic ship, but it isn't yours, I know. The overall idea and the use of the ships in this way is good. I like the whitecaps on the surface of the sea, and the seamist. Maybe the reflectivity could be toned down, but the color is good, as is the wavecrests. Good effort.

Fantastic work!!! the sea is raging and moody. Very very well done!!! If this is a product promo it is a great one. If you want art criticism, i'd make a small suggestion: the lighting of the sea and ships doesn't seem to match. Perhaps a moodier, stormier sky would work better. But hey - either way, this is one of the best sea images I've seen and you've done an incredible job!! Well done!!

Great image! I will definitely check out this package when it is available. I have been trying to create some beleivable breakers & wind swept water to no avail. I personally don't see anything wrong with your lighting. I have been sailing the waters of FL for over forty years, I've seen days like this many times. Bright sky in the distance with the storm coming from the viewers back and the foreground covered by the clouds producing a darker area there is totally beleivable. Good work on all levels, image and product.

This is just great! The water, though, looks a little too like mercury or metallic. The lighting and wave breaking is awesome. 8)
