Description

This house was painted last year - notice the peeling under the second floor windows. It's a shame to see how quickly this happens. This is a rather small scale home.

they primed the raw wood with water base paint that why. need a good wood primer that will take 24 hours to dry. it will sink into the wood. Plus make sure the wood is dry too. some painters will paint right after they wash the house. let it dry for a few days. real good shot

Using cheap paint and having dryrot will make that happen.Pressure wasshing before painting...actually anytime is bad nnews for pre paint. Jocko says it too. Prime.. Anyway enough paint lessons . I do like the clarity and colours in this.Do like the style of house too.

When you consider the change over time of building materials, methods, and codes it's always a little daunting to undertake the restoration of these older homes but in this series of pictures you've captured what I'd consider their ingratiating charm.

A great house, but I think they need to get a different set of decorators, the paint shouldn't peel after a year! That said, its good the way you've managed to capture that sort of detail!
