Description

for all who care. this is a knot. i post it in the fraktal-genre, 'cause it has a lot in common with fractals. it is mathematically generated, not linear and it contains some sort of self-similarity. it's generated with "knotplot", a free sofrware one base of open gl. thanks for stopping by torsten

That looks really cool Torsten. Could you give us a quick description of the workflow between knotplot and cinema?

here a few steps of this work: - the master geometry is specified in knotplot (try out!) - export as polygon-mesh dxf or a maya *.obj - copy the original into an atom-array and adjust it as you think it's ok - plalace the light, material and render that's it!
