Goelands.... our other story of love of Giancarlo and me ! We live in an apartment at the second and last floor of a small building in Carqueiranne (south of France), very close to the sea. The goelands thus fly over often our terrace, for our greater pleasure. They are birds majestic and often very funny. With Giancarlo when we arrived here in summer 2002, we tested friendly evolutions with the goelands. But Giancarlo always had very good arguments.... being Italian, we always have in house a good Parma ham and good pork-butchery. And after a good meal at house, there are always some remainders. And when there is not... one makes some ! We had thus taken the practice to leave on the table outside a plate with fat or remainders of ham. The first weeks, the seagulls hesitated to come. Because the landing was not always easy, because we were not there very far. At the beginning we remained in the apartment and we observed them by far, often hidden like two children... and then gradually the seagulls were accustomed to our presence, and sometimes even attention had to be paid. For example when we made a barbecue... they always tried to come to steal us a sausage or what cooked ! Giancarlo and me made tens of photographs of our friends. That This one was careful, he don't come on the table, he remained on the edge of the roof, but supervised the barbecue... Giancarlo launched pieces of meat to him. That thus made more than 2 years and half that our friends regularly come to greet us, and to help us not to waste... and it's always a real pleasure to see them. There are always the same seagulls who cames, habituated of our cooking ! Sorry, I'm longer when I write... but that's a part of our life.
