Description

Poser 5, no postwork (except putting them side by side) This is my *first* work in poser. I like part of it, but got bored trying to learn the program and have decided to move on to another project. I know this sux on so many levels. I like the lighting, tho. Hate the dopey expression, but the character wasn't rigged for expressions... Next time for sure!! I learned kind of a lot about Poser by doing this picture. This took me forever! Tried to get her on the bike - couldn't get a position without inter-penetration of the models. Finally did that, but hated the pose - finally got this pose but couldn't get the hair on - finally go the hair on but got stuck with this dopey expression - couldn't get rid of the reflection map on hte Harley... Solved most of these issues (sort of) and then next one will be worth looking at... I promise!! One side is with the Firefly render in Poser 5 (the hard shadows), the other with the Poser renderer in Poser 5 (the soft shadows). I did this to compare results. Frankly, I like the Poser render better, which surprised me. Let me know what you think as far as how to improve the next one! Harley by Daz Don't know where the character texture came from - sorry! If it's yours, let me know, I love it!

I agree with Rock, but you need play with your lights more. they are way too illuminate. some of the colour seems to be washed out. -- odd --

What is very odd - looking at the endgine - is that the firefly renderer made the rod (clutch rod?) distorted, and the fork at the front of the bike. Also the Harley logo is not as clear. There was no difference in the set up - maybe the raytracing feature on the Firefly renderer?

Though you probably have figured this all out by now, but if you go into the materials room, there's a setting on each..and every..single..last..stinking...texture map that is an image texture. It's called Texture Filtering. By default it's set to "quality." Set it to "none." It doesn't completely fix the blasted Firefly-smoothe-everything-out problem, but it DOES reduce the amount of blurring and smoothing that happens. For the record, I actually agree with you. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the Firefly render engine. I despise it more than I can really say. LOL And unless I'm FORCED to render in Firefly... I use the P4 render engine. ~ Seliah
