What you should really avoid if you want to make a photorealistic texture of your own face by using pictures of your digital camera: - always check your own look in the mirror at least twice before. If you do not like it, wait some days until your look gets better (or until you forget about that idea with the texture). - if your skin is blemished, you should wear at least a little makeup. - if the dark rings below your eyes are spread over almost the entire face, forget it. Never, ever take the pictures for the textures - after long, excessive nights on Renderosity and / or in front of the computer - recovering from any illness (like cold) - when your baby gets his teeth and cries for you every night so that you even get less sleep than Renderosity and your cold have left for you. I have made all the above mentioned errors and here is the result. After I had rendered this, I went straight to the bathroom. Yes, that's really me, right at this moment. Help, I'm getting old. I agree with the comments ahead of mine. I think it is really more realistic than most textures. I think we can all relate to the same look. I have at least 2 days a week I look like that, for the same reason.Good job! Feel better.

I've been meaning to try this for ages, posting a pic of myself onto a Poser model and now I've seen the impressive results you've managed to acheive I might just have a go....
