Very cool image,definately achieved the 40's corny (yet wonderful) world of sci-fi.The only thing this image is missing is Michael Rennie:D Good job.The rain is superb.Is that postwork or is that Vue?

The shape of the saucers may be very 1946-ish but the material says "martian magnolia" (which was probably the first ray-traced animation that I saw). I like what you did with the outer and inner layers, transparent and reflective. Speaking of, it doesn't seem to be raining in the reflection as visibility is infinite. oops!

You got it and more... Your sausers deffinetly are of the period, but you have captured even more of the 30's & 40's then even you realize. The over all look and feel of this piece reminds me of the great mural's, sculptures, & great architecture of that time. I want to use Diagi Rivera as and ref. but not sure if that a good example of what I mean. Anyway excellent work of art
