Description
In one of the chambers of this abandoned Welsh slate mine is this winch. There are others in other chambers but this is the most complete - and it still works!!
It was used for moving slabs of slate around and lifting them (with pulleys) onto trucks.
[Nikon Coolpix 5400, 30 second exposure, using 2 flash guns to provide 8 flashes on different areas of the image, with a couple of the flashes from the front to provide the main shadow]
