Yes, I know... it's not a spiral. Thought I'd try something different for a change. The texture didn't come out quite like I wanted but I'm okay with it. :) Made with Ultra Fractal.

WAY cool fractal and an excellent job of image composition, too! (if this is UF, maybe try multiply, overlay or hard light merge modes and pull the opacity down of the text. layer. Most times, black and white or brown gradients work well for texturing. Unless you want colors in it then soft light works pretty good.)
