A cold wind, the disturbed lake, a dark gray sky, a distant setting sun, a long winter night, first raindrop on the face, an approaching storm, a quickened pace homeward. The front door, the warmth, the smell of fresh coffee, a fire in the fireplace, a patchwork quilt, the sound of the rain on the roof, a lover, all the time in the world.
