Nice ship there! I like the modeling on it. However, the texturing could be improved (darker/more contrast). Also Ambient lighting needs to die, die a quick and painfull death. For a good tutorial on lighting take a visit to http://www.ap3d.com/betterspace/betterspace-tut-12.htm Keep up the work!

Agree with the Ambiant comment. You might try the old Babylon-5 trick of putting a nebula in the back for things to stand out in front of. There actually is 1 between Jupiter and Io.

Nice work on the modeling; Skyfox is right about the ambient light; I learned that lesson the hard way in my Lightwave class last year, but the scene is coming along quite nicely. ----You might want to try a program called Universe Image Creator for your backgrounds; I believe they have a free trial available on their website. Try Googling it. :-)
