Description

that stump you see is bigger than a horse. I saw a white horse close to the stump. I can still see him in my head. LOL wish I took a photo of it but I was not in takeing photos then so no camera. I may put a poser horse by it just to see. the land right now is flooded. So later on I going back to this stump with my tripod and take a photo og me next to the stump may even clumb on it if I do not hurt it[you know if it starts to break up I stop] I think it was a cypress tree??? I being working out of town about 1 hour away from my home and this stump is close to where I work . I see it all the time as I pass by going to Sulphur my home town. Thanks for looking and comments and adding me to your lists.

Looks like some other big trees used to be in the background as well. Must have been some kind of progress they made in cutting them down but nature will fill it right back in. Great shot, the white horse would have looked really cool in the picture too.

How cool! I would have liked to seen the horse, too...just to get an idea of how big that stump is. I'll bet that this is a scary looking place at dusk. It looks harmless enough in the sunshine, but I wonder what lurks beneath the water in that swamp....

It does look big enough to be one of those big bald cypress trees! We have those close to a lot of creeks & rivers here in Texas. They are such beautiful trees! Love this one Jock! V (:

There is certainly a big shift from when this land was lumbered to this day in tree size. The remnant can't quite hark to those camps with cook houses and bunk houses silenced by the Auburn rule. It makes me crave the company of women just to be able to talk.

Now that looks like there ought to be a gator around somewhere... be careful... might eat your camera, or you. Great shot.
