Very cool, I do like the simple dark background. Lets you focus more on the dragon. :) And dragons are always perfect to focus on. Nice job on this!

I think you're right. A fancy background would have been a distraction. And who wants to be distracted with that guy roaring at you! O.O Super work with the posing and lighting!

Gosh, what an incredible portrait of the new millennium dragon! The lighting is simply superb, and I love the fine details of its texture and this fierce-looking pose of its head. Wonderfully done!
