Description

ALL done by mouse with smudge and paint tools in PSP7 .. All created from my mind with no referance.. taken from my original first on here(nightlight) self portrait than rendered -took the night and made it "knight" and did a male fantacy version with a dragon ..this one took me some time cause I have never drawn or painted a dragon or a knoght before and I wanted to get it right never got it quite perfect but I have to make dinner now(LOL ) so here it is! The story here: There was a handsom and brave knight who he served his kingdom well... He was of corse a hero, FOr it was commenly known throughout the land that he had recently slayed the powerful and evil dragon that had brought misfortune to the tiny kingdom! Three days later .. he tiptoed back into the dragons lair to retrieve a lost sword. There he found it. There IT WAS ..THE dragons offspring -wrapped around his sword , protecting it like it was his own. the knight laughed outloud at the bold little youngster beast before him! So cute and darling to behold!! The knight was kind and couldn't find it in his heart to distroy the baby creature ... who looked back up at him with dancing firey eyes. SO IT went home with him . At first, he had every hope and determination that he could train it up right and tame the very cunning and sly creature, that now lived and dined with him.. Soon, he found that it was quite impossible- ... and it was a daily occurance that the dragon baby was setting his house -and hair on fire ! What could he do ? now he loved it..., but his patience was wearing thin.. side note and A WORD OF THANKS!: A sincer thank you to DEAR Captainparsa for his sculpture he did of me-put up today.. I am honored and flattered beyond words.. JUST HOW the HECK someone can sculpt someone else halfway around the world from lookingt at a smudge painting??.. (LOL) is WAY beyond my comprehension! check it out his AWESOME talent here!!: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=913039&Start=1&Artist=captainparsa&ByArtist=Yes

Very nice paint and story Kimmie. The dragon is so cute. Looks like if he was not holding on to something he would blow himself over as he is blowing the fire. :-)

This one really shows how talented you are, and that you master both painting/smudging from photoreference (which seem to be a fantastic practice to see how light/shadow/coloring should be), ... and you also master painting free hand, and using your imagination. I LOVE that! Wonderful composition, flaming haircolouring, beautiful eye, such a cute little dragon, and the fire smoke and sparks. Cool and original style you have! Excellent work *V

OMG...you are amazing! You have developed a style that is definitely all your own and brilliantly unique. I ususally sit here for some time and just stare at each line and how well acomplished you are at blending and highlight. This pic is full of magic and wonder. It doesn't get much better than this. Dear Kimarie, this is a really cute picture, as is your story. The little dragon is absolutely darling! And your knight is very bewithing himself! I really love your "smudge painting" and I know how hard that it to do well. I have enough trouble just doing a few touchups!! Really Excellent work! Love, Meredith
