Description

On The night of febuary 23 of this year 9 year old Jessica Marie Lusford was taken from her home by a known sexual offender, and brutaly murdered, a mear 100 yards from where she lived. This awful crime happened in my Home Town, a small close community. I don't have the words to express what I feel inside, it has taken so long to write this because her body was just found yesterday, we had all prayed that she was still alive. Her killer was caught in Agusta Georgia and his confession brought a end to those hopes, our Town is in shambles and our lives turned upside down. It is never easy to hear of this sick and desgusting type of thing, but when it is just down the road, it is so much worse. How could somebody do this, and where does it end.....God please they have got to stop killing our childern................Qmont An Angel has Her Wings For Jessica The rain falls down around me Like tears from above A single red rose is all I have To offer you with Love As I stand beside your picture A small memorial by the road Your life was so short The seeds were barely sowed But An Angel has Her wings tonight An Angel's learned to fly To Grace the lights of Heaven The Brightest Star in the Sky Some things we just can't imagine We just can't understand It all just seems so senseless To much to comprehend So young and so innocent Your whole life to live To have it taken from you Is just beyound belief But An Angel has Her Wings tonight An Angel's learned to fly To Grace the lights of Heaven The Brightest Star in the Sky So I stand here beside the road And whisper a Little Prayer Jessie if you can hear me I know that you are up there You are God's newest Angel A Becon of Light To look down on all our childern And keep the safe Tonight In loving memory of Jessica Marie Lunsford who's young life was senselessly taken in feburary of this year God Bless you Angel...............................Qmont

This is a tragedy of the highest magnitude. I can only imagine the anguish and fear that your home town is feeling. I prayed she would be found alive and well and went into deep sorrow when I heard she had been murdered. I pray now that justice prevails and he is never allowed out of jail again.

There is nothing more to say than that of which you have spoken. My heart weeps for her family at this time. Such sorry should never be felt. Thank you for this post your words are so full of emotion and feel. The words that rush through my head when I see stories like this are often beyond filthy. I will never be able to understand why this happens, or accept that this does. As an expecting father I fear for my unbound child and know how desperately I want to keep all children free from harm. As adults we are here to protect them. A true angel does soar the sky over us now.

A young girl has tragically lost her life and we all lose more of our innocence. It is incomprehensible when this happens and my heart aches for her family and friends. I'm sure your loving words have reached Jessica all the way to heaven. CC

Excellent & beautiful poem John. The words convey so much meaning.A tribute you should be very proud to have been the author of.My feelings go out to your town & the parents. We lost our first daughter at a young age.I can appreciate the grief they must be having, especially under the circumstances.
