Description
This image was created for two reasons. The first is to say thank you to yggdrasil for his helping hand/tutorial on water, that I used to created this (IMHO) beautiful river. The tutorial can be viewed here...

The second is that it is a re-worked image/scene I have already uploaded ( "Hidden Paradise" found here... http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=662790&Start=19&Artist=Belgareth&ByArtist=Yes ) that I created just for fun but always wanted to improve.
Please tell me what you think, and any tips are welcome.

First of all, let me say, I liked your scene: Hidden Paradise too. It's difficult to compare them - cause the camera angle is pretty differant. The small river looks very good, allthough I think water doesn't look very natural with global Illumination -really don't know why. The ecosystems in foreground are fantastic - The background ones need perhaps some scaling (IMHO). Mountains are really great! Summary: You created an excellent scene but comparing it with your other is nearly impossible!

The lighting is spectacular and I like this image a bit better because there's more depth. But I like the other one, too, because of the colors! Here, the water looks very much like the sort of stream you'd find in the mountains. Well done!

Gareth, This is a superb scene! I was raised on a farm the first 17 years of my life, complete with cattle, horse, fishing pond, etc. This is amazing to me! Very realiatic! The river is killer IMO ! I love the reeds in the foreground with the little 'cattails'! The shadows in this image also make it appear very realistic! The deer are just beautiful too! All in all this image has a very comforting, serene 'feel' to it, at least for me! Thanks for sharing it! Leanndra
