this has such a sense of wear - as if it were an old fresco with centuries of wear and too much sunlight - and soon it will fade entirely and be lost

First, man this is nice. Second, with agreement to chesscanoe this scene reminds me of a discription, in a sci-fi novel titled "The World Is Round"--by Tony Rothman, of a village in autum. Again this is nice.
