Description

They are beginning to change to their summer colors. The males in winter are the same color as females, olive green with black & white wing bars. In summer the males turn a bright yellow and black. We have 2 feeders and along with the pine siskins they eat about a quart of food a day. We will post pics when they go through the change!

A beautiful capture with the fading background. In Wintertime a group of 16 finches visit our garden and they prefer pieces of young cheese above different kind of seed ;)
