Description

I took this photograph a few days ago, in the small port of St Mandrier, close to Toulon (South Est of France). We always liked, Giancarlo and me, to play with the reflections in water. Because often it is very aesthetic, it is true. But not only. Beyond what one sees, it's as if one were in another dimension. Another vision of the world, as an image which would be softer, an alteration of what one believes to see. And sometimes in the reflections, one discovers things which he would never have seen whether his reflection had not been looked at. It is a little as in the life... it's necessary to know to look under another angle, to take distance, and to see the things differently. Thank you to be there... Nathalie, always with Giancarlo

This is really cool. You covered only half the boat, yet the other half is shown in those reflections. Very clever indeed if you ask me. I so wish you get to have a great Easter my friend. You deserve that so much #:O)

The degree of reflections and their colouration varies with water level and types of water. So there is always an air of mystery about reflections. A breeze can also have an effect on what is being rendered on the water and we certainly can ask ourself, what is reality and what is reflective. Beautifully done my dear.

Oooo, reflection! I love this, the slight rippling of the reflection compared to the sharp lines of the boat hull is really eye-catching.

Staring at reflections... isn't that what we do in reality, fixing our eyes on echo's of the reality beyond this reality? Excellent theme!
