Description

A shallow, rock and pebble lined pool; just right to take off your shoes and wade in, in the shadow of the mountain. Trying out some strata and overlays. I didn't use a strata generator, but rather some natural rock and stone wall textures. The rocks beneath the water are an overlay (if it's under water, is it an underlay?). Terragen, Photo Shop, Thanks for comments and input.

There is a place I've visited many times called Monticello, Utah. Just north of this town lies The Canyonlands where you see landforms like these. Very good POV here with excellent surface work. You might consider laying down the strata in short height ranges; two or three times depending on the terrain height. You need to experiment with this.

Great Shades of Sandstone! Beautiful dipping pool! I like the look of erosion along the edges of the water. Perfect. The underwater growth is a little scary for wading...for me, anyway. I am a sissy.

Wonderful strata .. I once studied strata images and found that many was not so even, but some were .. Very original idea not to use the strata generator but overlay mapping instead!! .. btw. I love how the rocks including the strata reflects in the water. Cool :-)
