Description
Ce pont, toujours en activité, fut construit sur la Via Domitia, la plus ancienne route de France, aménagée par les Romains pour relier Rome à ses conquêtes. L'édifice a été probablement érigé aux alentours de 27 avant JC/14 ap.JC.
Cet ouvrage d'art antique de 46,60m de long et 4,20m de large, enjambe le Calavon, rivière capricieuse dont les crues sont célèbres et violentes. Malgré tout et à jusqu'à ce jour, les crues n'ont pu ébranler sa structure.

This bridge, always in service, was built on Via Domitia, the most ancient road of France, fitted out by Romans to connect Rome with its conquests. The building was probably set up near 27 before JC / 14 after JC.
This antique work of engineering of 46,60m of length and 4,20m of wide, steps over Calavon, over whimsical river the floods of which are famous and violent. Nevertheless and in until this day, the floods were not able to shake its structure.
