First of all- I would like to display a quote by RYNO-a FORMER Renerosity artist- that I find very very true. he hit it right on the head with this!
"If you want viewings, post pin ups.
If you want comments, post pets, people, or flowers.
If you want to really explore what is possible as an artistic expression - persist."
How true this is.... It's kind of sad when you look to see what kind of images are being looked at on this site. Not only is the above comment so true, but also it seems to be quite "cliquish." In other words- people will list favorite artists based on the comments that are made on their images- and vice versa.
Also, it seems that most people on here DO NOT have a clue how to critique an image. Why is it that people will say things like "cute cat" or "wow- such a pretty girl," or just comment on the SUBJECT rather than what the photograph is and/or what it conveys? Along with that, some people on here seem to resent even getting a true critique telling them how to improve the image. I often get "nastygrams" sent to me in my messages because I went against the grain of people just saying how pretty the subject is, or how great the POV is, or just what a cool pic it is. I like to tell what I see in it and how to maybe improve it if needed.
Personally, I much prefer people telling me about my image itself. I dont care if someone has the same kind of car that I took a photo of- or the person, place, or object in my image is nice looking. PLEASE tell me about the image.
I apologize for my cynicsm... but this is just one of the sites I post my work on and it by far- has the longest way to go when it comes to people knowing how to actually comment on artwork.

Yes!!! Glad to see you back...still want comment on your classic car shots. If I ever get time:{ This is the way I see the city. Out of balance, in motion and lots of right angles with the dulled B&W tone to it all. Ken I have to run Just wanted to comment, and let you know I'm doing more in the photography forum than galleries at the present time.

Very good....life has it's grey areas and this image portrays that it isn't all rosey very nicely, indeed. Super!

the red borders really stand out in this for me as well as the neon sign, but can't quite make that part out :]
DeviousMoose
The problem with that clarity was its a double pane glass.... so essentially there are 2 reflections to everything there. The neon sign reflection was recolored in that window by the way......

Those double panes will mess ya up allright! Great idea. I like that you chose red as the remaining color, since it predominted the color non-reflected parts. Thumbs up!
