Thanks everyone. To answer your Question Ken: this is the Port Mann Bridge. Our Canadian cross-country highway..Highway 1, has to cross the Fraser River in order to continue on to Vancouver and this bridge is one very busy bottleneck. They need two bridges to handle the traffic (and are thinking about adding one). This side of the bridge is all city of one sort or another. On the far side of the bridge (where we live) is more rural..but expanding rapidly. My wife has to cross it every day so when she works day shift I drive her in so that we can at least use the HOV lane..unfortunately that doesn't begin until AFTER we cross the bridge...so it's a crawl before we reach it.
