*sigh* I'm really not that pleased with this... but I'm getting frustrated (that's happening a lot lately), so I decided to post it before I just gave up on it.
Dragon collar by Styxx (coming soon), Chest plate by Nerd, Loin cloth and hip armor by John Malis (I think), shoes by FlyerX - yeah, I know, she should probably NOT be wearing platform heels in the snow, but she IS the snowqueen :) Hair by Anton, Magik by Anton with my own texture and transmap on it to make it look like snowflakes (hopefully you'll see this spudgrl). Armbands and wristguards by me. Figure texture is Eowyn's Janelle, with one of my own face files.

I love what you've done with the snowflakes, as for the shoes, it's not the point, it's the principle. ;)

I think she looks terrific! Well done :)

beautiful!

Very beautiful. The snowflakes are awesome! The pose is good too. And don't worry about the shoes. What's the point of having magic ability if you can't have some fun? ;) Why is she brown-haired, though? I would think platinum blonde or ice blue, or even black... but not plain ol' brown. Brown is too warm, more for an earth or fire person than an air/water/ice person. And if you want the lips to be purple, it would be better for the colour to have an echo somewhere else in the picture. Everything else is blue or while or aqua or pale flesh. It makes her look out of her element, where she should be totally IN her element and Queen of it. There should be some correspondence with the background, as she must have created it. Very, very cool work, though! I'd have rated it an 8 if you'd turned rating on. Blessings! ~SG PS: You know what else would be cool? A swirling cape of snow...

man what is wrong with you, you got hit by truck this is way cool man.

This is gorgeous :D I can understand the comment about the hair colour though, brown is a bit too warm for a snow queen... but this is really beautiful work!

The tone matches between figure and background, hair color notwithstanding. It has a slight blue cast overall, meaning it looks like you got the lighting just exactly right. Whatever her hair color, another gorgeous girl!

Well.. I'm not sure if anyone who's commented above will come back to see this, or not... but first off, THANKS everyone for your positive feedback. :) As for the hair color... It was white to begin with, but it was bothering me that her eyebrows were brown but her hair was white, and I didn't want to go in and adjust the texture. The swirling snow cape idea is GREAT though and I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to pull it off, and I want to make more "armor" props for her legs. I'm probably going to revisit this image since everyone seemed to like it so much (even though I'm still not thrilled with it)

Very nice ;)

"cool pic"... haha, just kidding, i'm here to critique as promised. okay, first off, this is poser, so pose her. she's standing there, blank faced, arms spread for... flight, or is it cos this is the easiest pose you can get out of poser? legs crossed cos she needs the loo and all the snow is making her wanna bust. harsh enough for you mr delicate? ;) also, you can pose the camera too, this is the first pic of yours i've loaded but judging by the thumbs you only like to do face on shots. get a bit more dynamic there, move, dial dial dial! :) luck on the next pic :) and me onto critiquing your previous pic! uh, yeah, i prolly won't be back so if you have a rebuttal please do so in IM :) (disclaimer: i don't claim to be better!)

Instead of slanted horizon line, try adding some movement and excitement by making the figure diagonal in the picture, and look up at her with a slightly 3/4 view. For poses, look at what Eric Westray does with his Amazon poses--wonderfully over the top. Speaking of tops, hers doesn't fit quite right... some post work could take care of that. :^) Also, her vambraces come rather far down on her wrists, and need some more interesting bump or texture. In fact, if you felt like breaking out some brocade-type patterns for bump maps for all the white stuff, it would be interesting. And try her with blue hair! You'd have to re-color her eyebrows, too. You wanted helpful comments! Thanks for being a good sport. :^) --Nan

You asked for comments -- I'd jazz up the background - it is a little plain - Some bump maps on some of the textures could add interest too. Also, agree with other's comments on more posing & and more expression on face. Glance through the galleries and remeber which pictures jump out at you -- try to emulate but improve on them.

Its a nice skin texture. I think her hair should be lighter in color - maybe a blonde or even a white. The pose is a typical pin up type. It doesn't tell a "story". The backgound is a little plain - maybe it needs a castle or mountain range in the distance.

Snowfleakes? Very cool. WHat a great idea. WHat about adding some "frost" to her texture here and there going up her legs and body.
