Hey, not bad for your first attempt! Couple points - 1) add a little noise to the medals/anything else you add to match it to the noise in the picture.. 2) Try "median noise" to get rid of some of the scan artifacts 3) I think by the time you have those medals you'll be allowed to let your hair get a little longer :) stay safe! Hey, turner, he said "my current decorations" which sounds like he already has those medals... guess they haven't let him grow 'is hair out yet! :-P Still, I suppose that's the Army for you (how 'bout it, Mike? Am I wrong?). Pretty good for a first attempt as turner said good detail on the medals for (I assume) having drawn them by hand. You're not using clipart, are you? :P Still... must confess I like your background pic more than the modifications. Good picture.

Shinyary2, you are right! I do have those medals already and I like the crew cut/clean cut look. I did all my work on ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS and I copied and pasted the bolos and painted the ladders on. Turner, thank you for the input on the noise. I was not aware what noise was or what it did. Thank you for that bit of information. I will know the next time I will need it for my metals or other texturizing I may need it for. I am still learning and any advice is good at this stage of my learning. Thank you for your honest input. Mike

well, you know what we say around here; practice makes perfect, or at least interesting viewing.

Well Mike it's good to see a young man take such pride in the service of his country. But I must point out the attention to detail on your cover, Rank is not worn on your cover your unit crest is worn there. Thanks for your service.

actually unit patches are worn on berets not garrison cover's...This old marine even knows that...in 2001 the army stopped using the garrison cover in favor of the beret. I am very proud of my little brothers service to his country as well as his first digital image. Semper Fi Bro. and Mike we in the corp say ---Hoorah--- Keep it up man.
