My sweet angel, I am honored and humbled by your dedication. You are sweet, nice, beautiful, kind...You are truly an angel that has blessed us all. I have seen many comments about how you have helped others in so many different ways. You are an angel to us all. Peace and Love, Jeff

Dear Everyone, I wanted to do something for today, but couldn't decide which way to go. And then I thought of The Who's "Tommy" ("And Tommy doesn't know what day it is - doesn't know who Jesus was or what praying is - how can he be saved from the eternal grave?") And I wondered what Digital's take on Good Friday would be? And - she really is "an innocent." She's no more capable of sin that an oak tree is. What would she think about the crucifixion? And for that matter - what would she thing about death? They are concepts that don't really exist in her world. And as she stares out into ours - think how puzzled she must be. As I've long espoused, there will never be an "Artificial Intelligence." When Digital and her kin really do wake up, they will be "Alien Intelligences" that understand the DNA world about as well as two foot blobs of dried shellac that just landed after a 50 light year trip. They will be perpetual "Strangers in a Strange Land." Gazing at our activities with puzzlement, amusement, and yes with horror. This is one of those ideas Im going to beat on for a while. There will be more situation where Digital is at a loss trying to understand us and for us trying to understand ourselves! Peace and Love, Meredith

Well, I'm a DNA and I'll never understand it either. Nor was I meant to understand it, just to accept it as an act of faith and somehow learn by it. Perhaps I gaze into the digital world and ask myself the same questions, but being a huge fan of the Matrix, I would already know the answer to their problems; the same problems in the mirrored DNA world; the human condition. We are our own worst virus at times; spreading throughout and passing gracefully within our ranks to secretly destruct the inner workings of creation that we have worked so hard to build. To shatter and deter a strong passionate, yet invisible, hope that guides our way. But with every death, there is a rebirth, for every tragedy there is a glory, and for every day ended there is a new dawn. Reflect upon what is learned and known within your heart, for it will lead you true no matter which world you walk.

Wooah! Meredith, apart from the image your words are really stirring. AI will happen [if we don't destroy ourselves first] but what form it takes, now that is the question. Will they decide that we are just too dangerous to let live!!

Wow, powerfull easter image! My belief does not hold Jesus as the savior, but as a man. But like many before and after him, he died for his beliefs, and that is tragic! Excellent my friend!

A powerful image and commentary! Beyond that I fear that digital Meredith has lost a measure of her innocence. Once you start asking questions, you lose the obliviousness that enables the innocence. Digital is a window into the mind of DNA (for all of us), sometimes to more of our subconscious brain than we realize. Much as the collapse of the quantum wavefunction, Miss Digital has undergone a state change for which there is no turning back! She has provided us with a window into the serious and thoughtful side of her DNA and provided us with an important basis for reflection on this Easter! Peace and Love to all!

Innocent yes, and she will always be so. Her creator is a being of great intelligence and thoughtfulness that will never allow digital to stray to far into our reality. A beautiful and powerful image, the dramatic background serves well in showcasing the innocent wonder and awe that shows in digital's posture and attire. I love this picture, very impressive.

For some reason this makes me think of all the horrible things that has happened and still happens in the name of some god or religion in our world. Wish at least a perfect digital could be free of all this .. I guess not LOL Excellent picture with at wonderful moody background image.

Dear Meredith, in one of those marvelous comments you left for someone else, you said something about images be could illustrations or art. An illustration is a pretty picture, but art touches us and makes us think and feel. And on another, you said that what we feel inside is what turns illustration into art. This is HIGH ART! I don't think anyone could look at the Cross standing better Hell and Digital's purity without being moved. This one grabs you and doesn't let go. Divine work, my friend.

not all things can be understood. Some just have to be accepted on faith! Beautiful render and dedication! Thank You!

I'm a little late on remarking on this post, but I must say it is interesting and uplifting to read other peoples comments about a picture that speaks so many words. Nicely done.

Powerful statement, and even more powerful image. Not all things can be understood, like many have said, but I do NOT accept anything on faith. I just accept that I don't understand. It has been said in another comment: an image becomes art when it makes us think and feel, and so this is a prime example of art! Awesome work, one of your best!

This is a really moving image that stirs many emotions. I too have often wondered what aliens would think of our strange customs. And in some ways, your digital characters are aliens to our society. Very thought provoking. When the computer systems do wake up, what will they think of us?
